Job Description

Quadrant (an Appen Company) is a global leader in mobile location data, Point-of-Interest (POI) data, and corresponding compliance services. We map and authenticate geospatial data so our customers and partners can leverage reliable and authentic information to derive actionable insights and solve real-world issues.

Geolancer (geolancer.app) is Quadrant’s proprietary platform for collecting and verifying Point-of-Interest (POI) data like restaurants, retail, convenience stores, etc. Freelancers, also known as Geolancers, go out every day and collect these POIs together with attributes like coordinates, name, opening hours, photos, etc. This data is then cleansed and purchased by the biggest companies in the world in geospatial intelligence, mapping, food delivery, ride-sharing, and more. For each POI, Geolancers are rewarded with cryptocurrency.

Geolancer Community Manager

We are looking for a Community Manager who is a proactive problem solver. You’ll be responsible for growing, engaging, and managing Geolancer’s country communities. You’ll be creating regular content and organising online events to inform and educate users about Geolancer activities. As the voice of the community in Quadrant, you’ll be at the forefront of interacting with our users to understand their challenges and troubleshoot problems.

You will get to hone your skills with hands-on experience in Geolancer’s overall marketing operation. You will also get the opportunities to work across all departments in a tight collaborative setting.

We are a fully remote company with most team members located in Southeast Asia. For practical reasons, we are looking for new colleagues who can work Singapore business hours (1-2 hours difference is fine).


Responsibilities
  • Grow and manage the overall Geolancer community
  • Respond to and troubleshoot user problems in a timely manner
  • Create, write, and edit content to inform and educate users about events, feature updates, and other announcements
  • Actively source for and partner with external communities in multiple channels to promote Geolancer activities and events
  • Collaborate with the Geolancer marketing team in organizing and coordinating events to engage, educate, and expand the community
  • Create and enforce community management policies to foster an overall positive community
  • Serve as the voice of the community within Quadrant

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience working as a community manager or in similar roles
  • Experience in planning, organizing, and leading community engagement initiatives
  • Proven experience in content creation - GIFs, short videos, infographics, and more
  • Ability to identify and track relevant community KPIs
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal excellence in English
  • Proactive in collaborating with teams to solve problems
  • User experience with cryptocurrencies and NFTs is a significant advantage
