Job Description

Hi there! We’re looking for an experienced Property Management Assistant who has previously managed short term rental properties (think Airbnb, Booking.com etc).


An ideal candidate would have excellent communication skills and customer service experience. In addition to communicating with incoming guests this role will also include administrative support to the New Zealand based team so an attention to detail, effective time management and the willingness to work as part of a team are important. As we look after high value assets for our clients it is important that all of our team members are honest, hardworking and genuinely care about providing a good service to our clients.


Knowledge of a wide range of different booking platforms such as Airbnb, Booking.com VRBO, etc. is essential. Ideally the candidate would have experience in using software programs such as external property management and accounting systems, Google Drive - Docs Sheets, etc. however on the job training can be provided for the right candidate.


If the candidate has experience in either social media marketing / content creation or accounting, then these facets could be included within the role depending on the time available.


Location: Remote, reporting to Auckland, New Zealand (NZST)

Engagement: Part-time role, 20 hours per week

Budget: $5 USD per hour

About the client

We are a property management business specializing in the asset management of residential short-term rentals throughout New Zealand. We pride ourselves on providing a high level of service to both our clients (property owners) as well as the guests that stay at our properties. Our role is to be the intermediary between these two sets of clients. For our property owners the aim is to ensure that their asset is well managed, maintained and provides them with a suitable financial return. For our guests we aim to provide quality properties maintained to a high standard ensuring they enjoy their stay with us. We offer our services to clients throughout Auckland, Wellington, Queenstown, Wanaka and Tauranga.

What we're looking for

For this position, you’ll be working on short term rental management guest liaison and reviews; listing management (as required); general administration tasks such as creating a weekly cleaning schedule, guest check in schedule, creation and management of documents as instructed by the wider team etc; email management and responding to enquires etc. In addition to this, you may be asked to help with other tasks that come up such as social media content creation and posting and/or booking keeping depending on your previous experience in either of these roles. This is the perfect role for someone who is a self-starter and able to work remotely but still enjoys being part of a wider team.


  • You’re familiar with popular platforms such as Airbnb, Booking.com, VRBO, HomeAway, Expedia, Google Drive amp; Docs amp; Sheets.
  • You are honest, hard-working, keen to get stuck in and self-motivated.
  • Providing a friendly amp; prompt response to our clients and guests is your second nature.
  • You’ve worked remotely or with clients in other countries and are comfortable being your own manager.
  • You love making sure the i’s are dotted and the t’s crossed once you have seen a task through to completion.
