About Banxa

Banxa is looking for great people with great attitudes to join our amazing Philippines team. Banxa is an online payment provider that specialises in cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin. We work with many of the world's biggest crypto currency exchanges including Binance, OKEx or KuCoin. Our compliance support team is based in the Philippines, in the greater Manilla area. This role is full remote and is a great opportunity for those who prefer to work from home to be closer to their families. About The Role

The Fraud and Payments Specialist plays a crucial role by ensuring the business operates in accordance with all legal and regulatory requirements and all group standards relating to fraud prevention and compliance. Additionally, the Specialist is responsible for the investigation and identification of questionable activity and to report on such activity as warranted. The Fraud and Payments Specialist is expected to stay current with industry trends, fraud type trends, and to understand the operational impact to fraud losses and money laundering.


Your day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare Chargeback Reports and maintain Results Logs for different payment methods
  • Analyse Potential Credit Card Frauds and Trends
  • Create and maintain fraud cases log/reports/statistic
  • Assist Fraud Team with analysing and responding to potential fraud inquiries
  • Manage fraud escalations
  • Update Blacklist Records for different payment method
  • Create ongoing monitoring reports weekly, monthly, quarterly
  • Ad-hoc compliance documentations and KYC support

Requirements

About You

You thrive in a high pace, fast moving environment. You have a positive attitude, high attention to detail and understand the importance of investigating fraud cases properly to be able to take a preventive approach.


Your skills, experience and equipment will include:

  • Experience in the finance or e-commerce industry dealing with payments/chargebacks/fraud is a must
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Typing speed of at least 40 WPM
  • Fast internet connection and a laptop (we have a BYOD policy for this role)
  • Experience with fraud analysis
  • Proficiency in MS Office - Access
  • BA /BS in business, finance, law enforcement, legal studies, or a related field; this may be substituted with equivalent work experience in Financial Services, Law Enforcement, Banking, or a related field.
  • Methodical approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to perform monotonous tasks
  • Strong ability to prioritise work assignments with changing priorities
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Exceptional research and analytical, cross-referencing, and deductive reasoning skills
  • Solid analytical skills and an understanding of how to utilize data to target improvements and solve problems
  • The affinity to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to work autonomously and independently
