This is the cornerstone of providing a world class search and discovery experience for all our users.
About the role
This role has been created to lead all our content metadata efforts - we’re looking for someone with incredible organisational skills, a self-starter who loves responsibility and has a passion for operations and project management.
This role is vital to allow the Content Team to function smoothly and assist the team hit their project goals efficiently and effectively.
What you’ll be doing.
- Ownership of the Metadata Operations for Ingredient Studio
- Performance reporting to team, sub-group and group
- Manage staffing operations, hiring contractors
- Create and update training modules and guidelines for Metadata
- Ongoing training and development of the metadata team
- Manage Metadata QA specialists
- Ensure metadata quality for Canva’s content library is exceptional and constantly improving

- Team leadership and operations experience
- Team coaching, mentorship and training experience
- Prior project management experience
- Experience with keyword optimization and / or metadata entry
- Strong understanding of the English language, including a wide range of cultural references and concepts
- Exceptional organizational skills (be self organized)
- Great attention to detail
- Knowledge of design fundamentals (composition, color, style, etc.)
