Job Description

Sofia is a remote staffing platform specializing in providing top-notch talent to real estate and vacation rental industries. Currently, we are hiring for a prominent multi-family property operator based in Los Angeles, CA. This company specializes in managing and maintaining high-quality residential properties across the region, providing exceptional living experiences for their residents.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for the company's multi-family properties.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain accurate financial records for multiple properties
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis
  • Collaborate with property managers and vendors to resolve any financial discrepancies or issues
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  • Assist with year-end audits and tax preparation processes
  • Perform other accounting duties and special projects as assigned by management

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or accounting assistant
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in accounting softwares
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Availability to work remotely with reliable internet access
