Working Hours: Flexible - 4 hour overlap in the US EST mornings

Position Overview:
As a Financial Analyst at 8150 Advisors, you will play a crucial role in extracting insights from various datasets, contributing to data-driven decision-making processes, and supporting the overall business intelligence efforts. This position provides an opportunity to work with experienced professionals, engage in hands-on data analysis, and develop valuable skills in a collaborative setting.
Responsibilities:
- Data Collection and Cleaning:
- Gather, validate, and clean datasets from diverse sources to ensure accuracy and reliability
- Identify and rectify data anomalies, inconsistencies, and errors
- Data Analysis:
- Perform exploratory data analysis to discover trends, patterns, and insights
- Utilize statistical methods to analyze and interpret data, providing actionable recommendations
- Report Generation:
- Create clear and concise reports to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Generate visualizations and dashboards to facilitate data-driven decision-making
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide analytical support
- Our team is all 100% remote; therefore, the ideal candidate must be flexible and able to communicate with the team via email/Zoom and our project management tool, Asana
- Continuous Learning:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analysis
- Engage in professional development to enhance analytical skills and knowledge

- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions and features, including but not limited to VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, PivotTables, and complex formula creation
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex findings to a non-technical audience
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with machine learning concepts
- Previous internship or coursework in data analysis
- Understanding of database management systems
