This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, Dayshift.
This is an office-based position in either Cebu City, Pampanga or Dumaguete.
The expected start date is March 2024.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As an SMSF ACCOUNTANT, your focus will be on clearing exception reports, so the funds remain up to date month to month and finalising year-end accounts for the auditor. You will also be reconciling large volumes of transactions, preparing of financial statements and tax returns and accurate record-keeping, processing, and system management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Entering and allocating accounting transactions for self-managed super funds (SMSFs) in BGL
- Undertaking bank and investment reconciliations all via BGL
- Preparing financial statements and tax returns for SMSFs in BGL
- Liaising with auditors and the ATO on any queries
- Working on rollovers, contributions, pensions, and lump sums for funds
- Managing depreciation of property assets under the SMSF accounts
- Accurate record-keeping, processing and system management
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or similar.
- Previous experience of at least two (2) years in accounting
- Experience in SMSF
- Impeccable attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions and reporting.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills combined with innovative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills to build positive relationships with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) systems and databases.
- Knowledge of BGL 360 is preferred but not essential
