Position: Logistics Specialist
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9-5 Eastern Time Zone amp;
should overlap for meetings at least one or two days a week
Salary Range: $900 - $1,200/ month

About the job:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing shipping processes, customs paperwork, and coordinating freight shipments across different modes of transportation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate Shipment Planning:
- Collaborate with buying team to plan and schedule shipments of
customized products.
- Optimize shipping routes to minimize transit times and costs.
- Carrier Management:
- Evaluate and select reliable carriers and freight forwarders for domestic
and international shipments (air, ground and ocean shipping methods
supporting both warehouse locations).
- Negotiate shipping rates and contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Order Fulfillment:
- Work with the buying team to ensure accurate and on-time order
processing.
- Work closely with fulfillment centers to resolve any shipping or inventory
issues.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Prepare and maintain accurate shipping documentation, including
customs paperwork for international shipments.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in the logistics and shipping industry.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Implement best practices in logistics operations.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Meet with internal teams, including buying, finance, and marketing, to
provide timely updates on order status and logistics performance.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of proven experience as a Logistics Specialist or in a similar role
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes.
- Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel.
- Familiarity with Slack, and Google Sheets.
- Familiarity with shipping software and tracking systems.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with customs paperwork and international shipping processes.
- Knowledge of air, ocean, and land shipping methods.
- EU amp; UK shipping experience is a significant plus.
- Strong negotiation skills for pricing and contract agreements.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
