Senior Game Server Engineer

At BreederDAO, we are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Game Server Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Game Server Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing game server systems for our innovative projects in the metaverse. You will work closely with the game development team to ensure seamless integration of server-side functionality and provide technical leadership in building high-performance and scalable game server architecture.

• Design, develop, and deploy high-performance game server systems
• Collaborate with game developers to define and implement server-side game features and systems
• Optimize game server performance and scalability
• Ensure the security and stability of game server systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve server-side issues and bugs
• Maintain and improve deployment processes and tools for game server infrastructure
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends in game server development
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in game server development
• Proficient in Unreal Engine stacks and Unreal Engine server deployment
• Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages for backend development (e.g., C++, Python, Java)
• Deep understanding of network protocols, multiplayer architecture, and game server frameworks
• Experience in designing and implementing scalable and highly available game server systems
• Experience with cloud-based platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud)
• Knowledge of database technologies and server-side persistence
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience)
