• Manage and look after the performance of databases across the organization.
• Analytical skills to determine root cause problems for data integrity, database performance, and data quality issues identified by the team, QA, or by business report owners.
• Develop data models to meet the needs of the organization's information systems.
• Maintains data integrity by working to eliminate redundancy.
• Stays informed of the ways the organization uses its data.
• Monitor database systems to ensure optimal performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise, including performance tuning and query optimization
• Design, develop, and implement database solutions and complex business rules in collaboration with the application development team
• Provide relevant technical guidance and support to other members of the IT team and the wider organization

• In-depth experience with MSSQL and underlying technologies
• Data Integration design, development and deployment
• Strong relational and dimensional data modeling and database design skills
• Experience with techniques for addressing performance issues and ability to tune SQL queries
• Experienced in ETL development, data analysis, mapping, and automated loading.
• Analysis of data sources (data profiling, data quality, data discovery, etc.)

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
• Strong experience in performance tuning, T-SQL, and query optimization
• Familiarity with database monitoring and troubleshooting tools (such as Redgate SQL Monitor)
• Understanding of data integrity, security, and compliance best practices
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong documentation skills including experience creating data flow diagrams
• Knowledge on Connected Business, MySQL, or PostgreSQL is a plus.
• Working knowledge of Business Intelligence platforms (Power BI, etc.) is a plus.
