Job Description:
Our partner is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to help build Australia’s next generation property real estate platform. They are taking on the incumbent portals and bringing a better customer experience for users by utilising artificial intelligence technologies and human-centred design principles. All the while creating an offering that is fairer, cheaper and a more effective alternative for agents and vendors alike. They are collaborative and supportive, and at the same time are passionate and hungry to make a big impact. Most of your work will be building from the ground up, and you’ll be able to see and experience your software being enjoyed by thousands of Australians to help find their new home.

Role amp; Responsibilities
- Take UX designs and product vision and work within an agile software team to build innovative software products that consumers love.
- Write high quality software using principles such as automation, testing, infrastructure as code and continuous delivery.
- Support your code directly in production with your team, being on call on a rotating basis.
- Collaborate with your peers, UX designers and product owners to understand the consumer value, then helping your team to fine tune your approach and technical design.
- Coach and mentor engineers within the team.
- Facilitate technical discussions within the team.
- Contribute to high-quality systems design solutions and architecture
- Assisting with prioritisation, story breakdowns and continually improving the flow of work in the team
- Champion clean code, fast feedback, simplicity, testing, automation and repeatability principles within the team
- Collaborate with product, executive and other internal teams and vendors to define strategy, capture ideas, agree priorities, and otherwise fix and improve products
- Document decisions and technical designs
- Assist with recruitment in interviews and reviewing coding challenges
Requirements
Role Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience and can demonstrate leadership skills
- A growth minded, continual learner with effective problem solving skills and able to jump into unknowns and help bring clarity to your team.
- Belief that coding is a craft and that there is always more to learn.
- Enjoying building innovative solutions to difficult technical problems, continually improving existing solutions and understanding the value your software brings to consumers.
Technical Skills:
- Go, Python, Javascript, Typescript, Elixir and PHP
- Front-end frameworks: React, Remix and Phoenix
- AWS
- Terraform, Docker and ECS
- Javascript/Typescript as well as a backend language
