Job Title: Video Editor
Salary Range: $1000 - $1500/month
Work Hours: 9 am to 5:00 pm EST
We are seeking a skilled and creative Video Editor to join our team and contribute to the content creation of a media brand centered around Millennial and Gen Z culture in Middle America. The ideal candidate will possess a flair for editing in a fast-paced and entertaining manner while understanding the preferences of our target audience, primarily 18-40-year-old males. While knowledge of American culture is beneficial, it is not a strict requirement.
Responsibilities:
Video Editing: Edit long-form horizontal video series, ranging from 8 to 20 minutes in duration, covering a diverse range of topics such as food and alcohol reviews, daily news stories, long-form podcasts, and instructional how-to videos. The ability to tailor content style from comedic to informative as per the content's nature and target audience is crucial.
Vertical Video Creation: Create vertical video cutdowns of each program with engaging captions, specifically tailored for platforms like TikTok, Reels, Shorts, and Snapchat. This requires an understanding of the nuances of each platform and its audience.
Coordination: Attend 10-minute daily check-in meetings (Before noon EST each work day) to coordinate tasks and align with the content creation team.
Requirements
3-5 years of experience using Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing.
Photoshop and After Effects experience is a plus.
Intermediate proficiency in English to effectively communicate and collaborate with the team.
Availability 9 am to 5 pm Eastern Time (flexible) from Monday to Friday.
A strong portfolio showcasing previous video editing work, especially in a style that aligns with the brand's vision.
Tools:
Applicants must have up-to-date Adobe Creative Cloud and Premiere Pro on their computer to work from.
Access to caption-creating apps, software, or plugins suitable for vertical video formats (e.g., CapCut, Captions App, Premiere Pro).
Sufficient storage space for storing large video files and projects required for editing.
High-speed internet connection to facilitate daily downloading and uploading of video files.
