The Data Product Manager will play a crucial role in driving the development and management of data products, with a focus on leveraging data to create valuable insights and drive decision-making. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define product objectives, and deliver innovative solutions to address business problems and client needs.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into clear requirements for data products, including metrics, attributes, reports, and dashboards.
- Work closely with data analysts and engineers to design, develop, and implement data pipelines and processes to integrate complex data from various sources into a data warehouse.
- Build and maintain datasets that facilitate reporting, dashboarding, and analytics, ensuring data accuracy and quality.
- Utilize data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker Studio, Power BI, or Kibana to create compelling and intuitive data visualizations, dashboards, KPI scorecards, and reports.
- Extend the functionality of the data warehouse using programming languages like Python and R to enhance data analysis capabilities.
- Collaborate with end-users to gather feedback, understand their data and reporting needs, and provide training and support on self-service BI and analytics tools.
- Promote the effective use of data and toolsets by advocating for self-service BI and evangelizing the benefits of data-driven decision-making.
- Maintain documentation of data sources, transformations, and report specifications, and ensure compliance with data management standards.
- Contribute to data quality initiatives by validating, cleansing, and scrubbing data to maintain high data integrity.
- Effectively communicate insights and findings to stakeholders through concise documents and visualizations to facilitate informed decision-making.
Requirements
