Each year, PPCCC provides 35,000 people on the central coast with health care services; including sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment, birth control, breast and cervical cancer screenings, vasectomies, and safe and legal abortion care at our six health center locations. PPCCC also provides comprehensive sexuality education programs to help adults and teens make healthy decisions, prevent unintended pregnancies, and avoid sexually transmitted infection.
JOB SUMMARYThe Marketing and Communications Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing communications and marketing plans to further the mission and brand of PPCCC mission of Planned Parenthood California Central Coast and its ancillary, Planned Parenthood Central Coast Action Fund, using social, digital, and traditional media to increase supporters and heighten awareness for Planned Parenthood’s services, education programs, fundraising efforts, and advocacy.
Part-time position: approximately 20hrs per week
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Develop, track, and implement paid brand awareness campaigns, providing modifications as necessary for market saturation. Monitors and analyzes social data and web analytics to measure the effectiveness of social campaigns.- In coordination with staff, supports development of social media strategy and implementation, social media content creation, reporting on campaign objectives and audience growth, while providing insight and art direction on digital content creation including graphics, video content, email design, website content, and print collateral.- Ensures visual brand identity consistency and compliance. Maintains visual and design standards that reinforce consistency and quality in brand experience within different key audience groups (patients, youth, donors, public, etc.).- Serves as an ambassador for the brand throughout the service area, ensuring the organization maintains brand alignment through campaigns, partnerships, and alliances that further the brand and messaging. - Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Vice President of Community Engagement
QUALIFICATIONS - Must have a depth of knowledge about social media marketing, content marketing, and social media management, with specific experience using Sprout Social, Google ads, Meta Business Suite, and TikTok.- Excellent eye for detail, with a keen understanding of visual brand identity and brand experience.- Strong knowledge of graphic design best practices, designing for accessibility, and the importance of informational hierarchy in infographic design.
EDUCATION amp; EXPERIENCE-Experience using Adobe Creative Suite and Canva- Proven experience creating integrated marketing communication (IMC) strategies that drive impact and audience informed.- Associate degree in communications, advertising, social media management, or relevant concentration or 1 year of equivalent experience.- Proficiency in the use of Adobe Creative Suite is required- Proficiency with Canva is required- Advanced computer skills, including the ability to work with a content management system is essential




Planned Parenthood California Central Coast’s (PPCCC’s) compensation philosophy supports the organization’s mission,vision, and values. Each position has a salary based on market value and the organization’s pay levels. The starting salary for this position is$25.28 /hour with an opportunity for an increase after six months of employment. As part of our commitment to pay equity, PPCCC does not negotiate salaries.
