Position : Staff Accountant

Salary Range : 900 1600 USD

Working Hours : 7am 3pm PST

Responsibilities:

• Develop list of open items (missing source docs, yes/no and short answer questions) needed to complete the tax returns. This involves reviewing PYTR and information on file before creating a detailed list that is easy for client to interpret and respond to.
• Submit source docs to SurePrep (automation software) and/or GKM (outsourced technicians) after 100% of open items have been addressed and includes organizing the data in a central location.
• Prepare drafts of individual and entity income tax returns while completing 3 detailed checklists to ensure the drafts are ready for CPA review.
• Upload completed tax returns to tax planning software (Corvee) and proof for errors to ensure its ready for CPA review and discovery meeting with client.
• Prepare engagement letters pricing is based on complexity from prior year and calculated using a formula with excel workpaper templates.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

• Preferably with 5 years of experience with US taxes.
• Must have an accounting degree.
• Candidates must have strong MS365 skills for Outlook, Excel and Powerpoint.
• Must have excellent internet connection.
• Above average to good communication skills.
