Position : Staff Accountant
Salary Range : 900 1600 USD
Working Hours : 7am 3pm PST

Responsibilities:
- Develop list of open items (missing source docs, yes/no and short answer questions) needed to complete the tax returns. This involves reviewing PYTR and information on file before creating a detailed list that is easy for client to interpret and respond to.
- Submit source docs to SurePrep (automation software) and/or GKM (outsourced technicians) after 100% of open items have been addressed and includes organizing the data in a central location.
- Prepare drafts of individual and entity income tax returns while completing 3 detailed checklists to ensure the drafts are ready for CPA review.
- Upload completed tax returns to tax planning software (Corvee) and proof for errors to ensure its ready for CPA review and discovery meeting with client.
- Prepare engagement letters pricing is based on complexity from prior year and calculated using a formula with excel workpaper templates.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Preferably with 5 years of experience with US taxes.
Must have an accounting degree.
Candidates must have strong MS365 skills for Outlook, Excel and Powerpoint.
Must have excellent internet connection.
Above average to good communication skills.
